Installing the Microsoft Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK) for Configuration Manager

This process can be used to install Windows Deployment Services, as a standalone service, or as a pre-requisite for System Center 2012 Configuration Manager.

1. Execute adksetup.exe. 
2. Enter %InstallPath%\Windows Kits\8.0\ (Where %InstallPath% is the desired installation directory.) in to the Install Path field. Click Next. 
3. Select either Yes or No, when asked if you wish to Join the Customer Experience Improvement Program, then click Next.
4. Click Accept on the License Agreement screen. Click Next. 
5. When prompted select the features you want to install. To meet Configuration Manager prerequisites, ensure the following are selected then click Install:

• Deployment Tools
• Windows Preinstallation Environment (Windows PE)
• User State Migration Tool (USMT)
• Windows Performance Toolkit
• Windows Assessment Services
• Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Express

Once the installation completes, click the Close button
